It is an optimized combination of chloromethylisothiazolinone (CMIT), methylisothiazolinone (MIT), and octylisothiazolinone (OIT) with an average total active ingredient content of 3.6% by weight. The combination of several isothiazolinone’s class active ingredients provides effective broad-spectrum protection against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, yeasts, and molds, allowing EVAXEL® 404 to be used at very low concentrations.
